CHALLENGE:

IMVU, the leading 3D avatar social networking app with over 200 Million registered users, sought a partner that could achieve their Cost Per Payer (CPP) goal at scale. Since payments happen within a desktop app that cannot be tagged, they needed a partner who could optimize towards a Cost Per Registrant goal, but ultimately was being judged by cross-referencing order IDs to track new and returning users.

THE QUANTCAST SOLUTION:

IMVU partnered with Quantcast, starting with a small test. Quantcast Performance Audiences immediately drove new and returning users who were 2x more likely to become payers than all other paid channels, scaling the test budget 6X while staying within their CPP goals. This allowed IMVU the confidence to shift desktop budget from all other partners to Quantcast and expand into international markets.

As a trusted partner, IMVU also looked to Quantcast to create and test new ad units. The Quantcast Creative Services Team partnered with IMVU’s creative team to create animated HTML 5 assets which outperformed their existing static banners.
